EU vs Russia In A War - Better Call 'Big Brother' US For Help - The Saker - 25 Sept 2020

Image
T he worst are still the Europeans. Not only are they prostituting themselves to the leaders of the Empire, the following countries were the first to declare that they will not recognize Lukashenko as the leader of Belarus: Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia (which is no surprise, they all compete for the title of most pro-US colony on the planet), but also putatively mentally sane countries such as Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Denmark. The case of Germany is particularly amazing, because Germany will now be placed under immense pressure to cancel North Stream 2, something which the entire German industry opposes. Eventually, the US, Canada, the Ukraine, the UK and the entire EU joined in and also refused to recognize Lukashenko as the leader of Belarus.   What is especially amazing to me is that these EU imbeciles apparently don’t care that without North Stream 2 they will have to purchase US gas, at much higher prices, which will make the EU economy less effective than

Dead squirrels washing up on Lake Michigan beach - Associated Press - 27 Sept 2020

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Dead squirrels have been washing up on a Lake Michigan beach at a state park. The squirrels likely drowned while trying to cross the Grand River and then flowed to the lake and Grand Haven State Park, an expert said. Nick Kalejs, a wildlife biologist at the Muskegon State Game Area, estimates about 100 in recent weeks. "I don't think people should be unduly alarmed," Kalejs told MLive.com . "It's always distressing to see dead animals, and we certainly don't want any animal to suffer. There does seem to be some (precedent) for this type of thing, and hopefully it won't last too much longer." Squirrels can swim, he said, but "clearly not all of them make it." The effort to get across the river could be related to food scarcity.   https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2020/09/27/dead-squirrels-lake-beach-grand-haven/3553930001/

Antifa in Portland vow to kill cops, along with families, children, friends. But it’s a ‘carnival in the dark,’ says NYT - by Micah Curtis - 23 Sept 2020

Police officers stand guard as people take part in a protest against racial injustice, in Portland, Oregon, U.S., September 18, 2020 ©  REUTERS / Shannon Stapleton   Rioters in the Oregon capital are turning their sights on residential suburbs, demanding that homeowners pledge allegiance to their cause or have their houses burned down. Why aren’t we doing something to stop these anarchists? Of all the cities in America that have suffered from constant rioting and violence, Portland might have it the worst. The city that was once lauded as being one of America’s best places to live has endured more than 100 consecutive nights of rioting involving vandalism, chaos, and death – including the slayingof a supporter of President Donald Trump – since the killing of George Floyd, with no end in sight.    Disturbingly, there have been recent reports of the Antifa rioters there moving away from the city center and beginning to target residential areas and thr

NY Times: BLM protesters in Portland are divided over aggressive tactics such as…killing police - by John Sexton

Is there a line that Black Lives Matter protesters should be hesitant to cross? Today the NY Times reports that there’s an ongoing debate about that question in places like Portland where protests/riots have increasingly moved away from federal buildings downtown and into the suburbs. The story opens with a group of protesters who got angry with a homeowner who was flying an American flag. Terrance Moses, a veteran who was marching with the protesters at the time, didn’t appreciate that very much : See Also: Biden gets the McCain endorsement after all “It went from a peaceful march, calling out the names, to all of a sudden, bang, ‘How dare you fly the American flag?’” said Mr. Moses, who is Black and runs a nonprofit group in the Portland, Ore., area. “They said take it down. They wouldn’t leave. They said they’re going to come back and burn the house down.” Mr. Moses and others blocked the demonstrators and told them to leave. “We don’t go aroun

A female politician in Turkey has been sentenced to 11 months in prison for calling Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan an enemy of women, according to media reports. Sebahat Tuncel was sentenced Saturday for saying Erdogan was a “complete misogynist” – a remark she mad four years ago. Tuncel’s attorney argued that the politician’s statement that “the president was an enemy of women and Kurds,” made during a 2016 speech, is “within the freedom of expression,” according to Turkish news outlet Duvar English. The court disagreed. Tuncel is just one of thousands of Turkish citizens who have received prison time for insulting the Turkish president. Police detain Sebahat Tuncel, co-chair of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Regions Party (DBP), during a protest against the arrest of Kurdish lawmakers, in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir, Turkey, November 4, 2016. ‘Defund the police’ advocate Alyssa Milano calls 911 for ‘armed gunman on her property’ who was teen with an air gun - by Erica Davies (The Sun) 22 Sept 2020

NO CHARM DONE    ‘Defund the police’ advocate Alyssa Milano calls 911 for ‘armed gunman on her property’ who was teen with an air gun Erica Davies 22 Sep 2020, 21:08 ACTRESS and "Defund the police" advocate Alyssa Milano appeared to go against her beliefs when she called the cops on suspicions of an armed gunman on her property in California. On Sunday, at least seven vehicles the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, a K-9 unit, a police helicopters and a Los Angeles Fire Department squad raced to the 47-year-old's home inside a gated community north of LA. But her tweets seem to be at odds with her actions on Sunday, with one neighbor claiming the actress "uses her platform in hypocritical ways. "She can tweet those things because at the end of the day she lives behind gates in a gated community. She knows the police will come to save her. But what about all those people who don't have that luxury and live in unsafe neighborhoods? She ob

Rank-and-file union members snub Biden for Trump - By Holly Otterbein and Megan Cassella (Politico) 22 Sept 2020

Supporters of President Donald Trump line the road as Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden arrives at a union training center in Hermantown, Minn., on Sept. 18, 2020. | Carolyn Kaster/AP Photo Joe Biden has pitched himself to voters as a “union man,” a son of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he lived as a toddler, a man who has never actually been in a labor union since he has been in government for forty-seven years, who somehow 'respects' the dignity of work and will defend organized labor if he wins the White House. To rank-and-file members in some unions, especially the building trades, it doesn’t matter. They’re still firmly in Donald Trump’s camp. Labor leaders have worked for months to sell their members on Biden, hoping to avoid a repeat of 2016 when Donald Trump outperformed among union members and won the White House. But despite a bevy of national union endorsements for Biden and years of what leaders call attacks on organi

Democrats’ Pro-Cop Ticket Vies with Trump Over 'Law and Order' (Internationalist Group) 18 Sept 2020

So this is what “democracy” looks like, USA-style, as election season enters its final stretch: a hellscape for the oppressed, workers and youth. Just being black can get you killed by the racist cops, as we keep seeing day after day. Amid unending fear of catching the coronavirus, the threat of mass evictions looms. If you’re not already one of the millions of workers who have already lost their jobs, there’s the constant worry that you could be next. In Wisconsin, anti-racist protesters are gunned down by a white-supremacist vigilante. And now much of the West Coast has gone up in flames, literally. It’s not an apocalyptic movie out of Hollywood – it’s what the “death agony of capitalism” looks like in 2020. 1 Forty years ago, when voters were given the “choice” in the 1980 presidential elections between a reactionary, segregationist
