US Right Wing Radio - Washington Post Delares Medium Dead - by Paul Farhi (WaPo) 9 Feb 2021

Rush Limbaugh is ailing. And so is the conservative talk-radio industry. Paul Farhi 21 hrs ago   Faced with aging and shrinking audiences, competition from newer technologies and financial problems for the biggest station owners, talk radio is in decline — both as a business and a political force. Once a leading platform for popularizing conservative candidates and policies, talk radio is on the verge of becoming background noise, drowned out by a cacophony of voices on podcasts, cable TV and social media. The format’s crisis comes as its biggest star is battling to stay on the air — indeed, he is battling for his life. Limbaugh, 70, has been frank about his struggle with what he said last year is advanced lung cancer. “I wasn’t expected to make it to October, and then to November, and then to December,” he said on the air just before Christmas. “And yet, here I am.” Limbaugh’s uncer

Israel First! - Another Zionist Joins the Biden Team Neuberger will make our cyber secure? - by Philip Giraldi

Image
It does not require any particularly perspicacity to realize that the President Joe Biden Administration has been loaded with Zionists who not only believe in their own vision for Greater Israel but also in some cases have strong and enduring ties to the Israeli government itself. The new Secretary of State Tony Blinken comes from an American Jewish family that has well established ties to Israel. Blinken’s paternal grandfather was one of the founders of an organization that eventually evolved into the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Blinken said at his Senate confirmation hearing that the new administration would “consult with Israel” before any possible return to the 2015 nuclear deal and he also made clear that there will be “additional conditions for Iran,” an odd position to take since it was the U.S. that withdrew from the agreement and introduced a harsh sanctions regime even though Iran was in compliance. More recently, Blinken claimed that

Fight for cut in workweek, no cut in pay to stop layoffs! Biden regime attacks political rights as bosses cut jobs and wages - By Terry Evans

The Advertiser-Tribune Jan. 27 picket line at Borgers USA auto parts plant in Norwalk, Ohio. Workers went on strike 21 January 2021 in fight to improve pay, benefits, and win recognition of their union. Working people in the U.S. face an economic and social crisis with millions of jobs closed down and bosses attacking the hours, wages and working conditions of those still on the job in a drive to crush their competitors and defend their profits. President Joe Biden is doing nothing to reverse this.   What he is doing is issuing reams of executive orders — diktats not debated or voted on by anyone — aimed at regulating working people more closely. Liberals are convinced working people are too stupid to recognize what’s good for them, as evidenced, they say, by the over 140 million who either voted for Donald Trump in 2020 or didn’t vote for either capitalist par

Nissan's 'office pod' imagines a new kind of remote working Published 5th February 2021

Nissan's 'office pod' imagines a new kind of remote working Published 5th February 2021   Forget working from home -- this camper van is for those who want to "work from anywhere." Inspired by the new realities of the Covid-19 era, Nissan's concept vehicle features a retractable office for remote workers and digital nomads. Dubbed Office Pod Concept, the mobile workspace comes with a modified Cosm chair by US furniture-maker Herman Miller, and desk space big enough for a large computer monitor.   Those seeking privacy can set up inside the pod with the doors closed. Ambient lighting gives the office a futuristic feel, while electric shades help deter prying eyes.     But, with the tap of an app, the pod extends out the back in a matter of seconds (as shown in a promotional video ), and the trunk door becomes a cover for your al-fresco office. The vehicle's rooftop also doubles up as a space to relax under a parasol.   The concept vehicle is a

Hundreds of thousands of farmers in India protest against gov’t attack By Roy Landersen

AP Photo/Altaf Qadri Farmers’ tractor convoys converge on New Delhi, India, Jan. 26, demanding repeal of farm “reform” bill that would eliminate price supports and drive family farmers off the land. NEW YORK — Hundreds of thousands of farmers on thousands of tractors, on horseback or on foot streamed into India’s capital, New Delhi, Jan. 26. The action was part of their monthslong protests demanding the overturn of new farm laws enacted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that threaten their livelihoods. The protest overshadowed the government’s Republic Day celebrations. And their show of strength was backed by solidarity actions elsewhere in India and around the world. The laws — drawn up in the interests of large capitalist agricultural profiteers like Reliance Industries and Adani Enterprises — would eliminate government-subsidized crop price supports that benefit working farmers. Ann Coulter: Liberals Love Murderers - 3 Feb 2021

Ann Coulter: Liberals Love Murderers I assume it’s overkill to continue listing the evidence against death row inmate Kevin Cooper, duly convicted of committing a quadruple murder back in 1983. The blinding proof of his guilt was covered in last week’s column. To review, this included shoeprint evidence, footprint evidence, cigarette and tobacco evidence, blood evidence and DNA evidence, proving that this violent rapist and mental hospital escapee: hid out in a house next to Doug and Peggy Ryen’s Chino Hills, California, home for two days after escaping from prison; used a hatchet [right] and hunting knife taken from his hideout to hack to death two adults and two children at the Ryen home and critically wound a third child; stole the family’s station wagon and later abandoned it in Long Beach, along with his DNA on prison-issued cigarettes, before escaping to Mexico; returned to California, where he raped a woman at knifepoint, leading to his capture. This week, we’ll co

“Remember me”: The 70-year career of American actress Cloris Leachman, from Kiss Me Deadly to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mel Brooks and beyond

Image
The extraordinarily gifted actress Cloris Leachman died January 27 at 94 at her home in Encinitas, California. Leachman’s acting career, comprising nearly 300 credits, extended from the late 1940s until very near the end of her life. When she died, she had two movies in post-production and had recently reprised her voice role in another. Leachman is probably best remembered for her film and television work during the 1970s, a decade in which she received an Academy Award for her performances in Peter Bogdanovich’s The Last Picture Show (1971), starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-75) and her own spinoff series, Phyllis (1975-77), and featured memorably in Young Frankenstein (1974) and High Anxiety (1977), directed by Mel Brooks. In addition to the 1972 Academy Award, Leachman won eight Primetime Emmy Awards, tying her for the most individual acting awards in Emmy history. Leachman was born in 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Cloris (née Wallace) and Bu

Caitlin Johnstone: Everything about the Biden administration is fake - 2 Feb 2021

By  Caitlin Johnstone , an independent journalist based in Melbourne, Australia. Her website is  here  and you can follow her on Twitter  @caitoz While liberals and the mass media continue to celebrate the new US president and his administration, it is becoming increasingly obvious that, as ever, nothing important has really changed. A new exclusive from  the Daily Beast  titled ' White House Reporters: Biden Team Wanted Our Questions in Advance '  reports that the White House press corps is being pressured to provide briefing questions ahead of time in a way that makes even mainstream media journalists uncomfortable. “While it’s a relief to see briefings return, particularly with a commitment to factual information, the press can’t really do its job in the briefing room if the White House is picking and choosing the questions they want,” one White House correspondent told  the Daily Beast . “That’s not really a free press at all.” “It pissed off enoug

Tesla's dirty little secret: Its net profit doesn't come from selling cars - By Chris Isidore (CNN Business) 1 Feb 2021

New York (CNN Business)Tesla posted its first full year of net income in 2020 -- but not because of sales to its customers. Eleven states require automakers sell a certain percentage of zero-emissions vehicles by 2025. If they can't, the automakers have to buy regulatory credits from another automaker that meets those requirements -- such as Tesla, which exclusively sells electric cars. It's a lucrative business for Tesla -- bringing in $3.3 billion over the course of the last five years, nearly half of that in 2020 alone. The $1.6 billion in regulatory credits it received last year far outweighed Tesla's net income of $721 million -- meaning Tesla would have otherwise posted a net loss in 2020. "These guys are losing money selling cars. They're making money selling credits. And the credits are going away," said Gordon Johnson of GLJ Research and one of the biggest bears on Tesla (TSLA) shares. Tesla top executives concede the company can't co
